Ozzy Osbourne to headline gaming summit
Ozzy Osbourne has signed on to give a headlining performance at video-game maker Blizzard Entertainment's annual convention, a.k.a. BlizzCon.
Osbourne's performance will close out the two-day event, which is set to take place Aug. 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
"At the closing ceremony on Aug. 22, Ozzy will unleash a thunderous spectacle of rock to put the Lich King in his place and cement his own title as the one true Prince of Darkness," Blizzard Entertainment--makers of "Warcraft," "Diablo" and "StarCraft"--said in a prepared statement.
Though tickets to BlizzCon "sold out in minutes," according to Blizzard, a live Pay Per View event will be available via Internet stream and in HD on DIRECTV. Details are available at BlizzCon's website.
"Our goal with BlizzCon is to deliver an unforgettable weekend of entertainment, and we can't think of a better way to close out this year's show than having Ozzy rock the house," Blizzard Entertainment CEO and cofounder Mike Morhaime said in a press release.
