Tim McGraw to kick off NFL season

Tim McGraw will help celebrate the kick-off of the 2009 NFL football season with a performance on the season-opener pre-game show next month.

The country star will perform on the "NFL Opening Kickoff 2009," which will air Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and the NFL Network. The Black Eyed Peas are also set to perform at the event, which will be hosted by "Saturday Night Live" comedian Seth Meyers. The free concert will take place at Pittsburgh's Point State Park and will honor the six-time Super Bowl champions the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 30-minute special will precede the season-opening game between the Steelers and the Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field.

McGraw's appearance comes a little more than a month before the Oct. 20 release of "Southern Voice," the singer's first new studio set in more than two years.

The album's lead single, "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You," currently holds the No. 13 spot on Billboard's Top Country Songs chart.
