AC/DC adds to 'Black Ice' outing

Legendary rock outfit AC/DC has added a trio of shows to the in-progress North American leg of its "Black Ice World Tour."

Since last check, the Australian rockers, who will continue the road trip Friday (8/14) in Chicago, have expanded the extensive run to include shows in 23 cities before the tour's mid-November end. Concerts have been added in Greensboro, NC (10/25); Jacksonville, FL (10/30) and Orlando (11/19), the latter of which now represents the trek's final engagement. The full schedule is shown below.

The rock icons continue supporting their most recent release, "Black Ice," which surfaced last year. The hit record, the group's first new studio set since 2000, debuted at No. 1 in 29 countries including the US. Despite limited availability in the US--the album is sold exclusively via Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and the band's website--"Black Ice" became Columbia Records' biggest debut album since Nielson SoundScan began tracking album sales in 1991.

"The Black Ice World Tour," which first launched last October, marks AC/DC's first live performances in five years.
