Mika sets up North American run
Electro-pop singer/songwriter Mika will head to North America this fall as he drums up support for his forthcoming sophomore album, "The Boy Who Knew Too Much."
The outing gets underway Oct. 12 in Toronto, and currently is scheduled to stop in 10 US and Canadian cities as it works its way from east to west, wrapping Oct. 27 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
A ticket pre-sale is underway now via Mika's website.
"And don't forget that each ticket will earn you 2,500 points in Mika's Magic Numbers, getting you one giant stride closer to the star prize of a private performance from Mika himself," reads a message posted at the site.
The Mika's Magic Numbers program is billed as a "loyalty scheme that allows you to earn points by buying his music, merchandise, tickets to shows or by spending time on MikaSounds.com. ... As you earn points, you automatically unlock rewards on the MikaSounds community pages," such as "digital music, downloadable images, exclusive videos and some sensational 'money can't buy' prizes," according to info posted at MikaSounds.com.
"The Boy Who Knew Too Much" hits US shelves Sept. 22. The set features the cut "We Are Golden," which is currently available via Apple's iTunes Music Store.
