Revolting Cocks plot North American headlining tour

Ministry head honcho Al Jourgensen's latest version of Revolting Cocks will launch their first headlining tour in more than 20 years in support of their fifth and latest studio album.

Featuring mostly the same lineup that has been in place since the RevCo brand resurfaced in 2006--Jourgensen (guitar, programming), singer Josh Bradford, guitarist Sin Quirin and keyboardist Clayton Worbeck--the band will kick off the outing Sept. 10 in El Paso, TX. The trek will pass through 39 cities through late October, finishing up back in Texas for an Oct. 30 appearance in Austin.

The group's basic lineup will be supplemented on stage by bassist Murv Douglas and drummer Aaron Rossi (Ministry), and fans can "expect a selection of Industrial and Punk Rock Icons to join the circus for special last-minute appearances," according to a press release. The full schedule for the outing--billed in a press release as the band's first North American headlining tour ever--is included below.

On the road, the group is supporting "Sex-O Olympic-O," its fifth album and the second since Jourgensen revived the group in 2006. A remix album, "Sex-O MiXXX-O," featuring remixes of the new album by members of Skinny Puppy, Pop Will Eat Itself and Gravity Kills, among others, is due in stores Sept. 29.

Emerging from a 13-year layoff, Jourgensen and an all-new edition of Revolting Cocks returned in 2006 with "Cocked and Loaded," which featured contributions from Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers), Rick Neilsen and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Stevie Banch (Spyder Baby) and Phildo Owen (Skatenigs).

Jourgensen toured with both Ministry and Revolting Cocks the same year. "I've been waiting for the right moment to bring back the Revolting Cocks in full force and had the fortune of working with a dream team of sorts on 'Cocked and Loaded,'" Jourgensen said in a press release at the time. "We had a blast. It's the soundtrack to your inner juvenile delinquent."
