AKA.com says that it will follow Limp Bizkit around New York with video cameras on Tuesday (10/17), the release date of its new CD. The site will webcast the footage that day, and archive it for two weeks.
Billboard reported that producer Bill Adler enlisted musicians such as David Was and Beastie Boys' Adam Horovitz (Ad Rock) to create promotional recordings for Ralph Nader's presidential campaign. Adler was quoted as saying that the recording would not be officially released, but would be posted on Nader's website and on Napster.
Christina Aguilera took a fan on a $2,000 shopping spree at a Burbank, Calif., Sears following her Thursday (10/12) concert. The fan, Shawna Winton of Dickinson, Texas, had won a contest.
Motorhead has announced three more British shows in December to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The move follows the sell-out success of their upcoming gig at London's Brixton Academy on Oct. 22. The dates are Dec. 19 at the Forum in London, Dec. 20 at Civic Hall in Wolverhampton and Dec. 21 at the Apollo in Manchester.
Boston Symphony Hall, home of the Boston Pops, is holding a centennial celebration this weekend.
Thousands of copies of the Beautiful South's new album "Painting It Red" had to be recalled in the U.K. after the wrong version of the album was released. The international 17-track LP version, bearing the 19-track U.K. release's artwork, made it into stores instead of the correct one.
