Featured Photos: Outside Lands Festival Day 1, San Francisco, CA - Aug. 28, 2009

The promoters of San Francisco's second annual music and arts festival, Outside Lands, must have good karma. Day One of the three-day event was perhaps the city's most beautiful summer day in years. Attendees arrived to a sunshine filled Golden Gate Park, normally socked in by coastal fog all year round.

The lineup for Friday (8/28) included headlining band Pearl Jam as well as Incubus , Thievery Corporation , Tom Jones , Silversun Pickups, The National, Q-Tip , Built To Spill, Kinky , The Dodos , Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, The Duke Spirit and West Indian Girl . Aside from the smorgasbord of bands, the event highlighted the region's culinary bent, with vendors offering wine and restaurant quality food instead of just the usual pizza, hot dogs and beer.

Teaming up to take photos at Outside Lands for LiveDaily were Tim Mosenfelder and yours truly. Here's some of what we saw.
