The Beach Boys play free show in Alaskan parking lot

The Beach Boys played a free concert Monday (8/31) night in the parking lot of an Alaskan bowling alley, according the Anchorage Daily News.

The surf pioneers played to approximately 700 people who were on hand to celebrate new ownership of Lucky Strike Lanes in Mountain View.

The private concert lasted more than an hour-and-a-half, and featured hits from the 1960's including "I Get Around" and "California Girls."

The free, unadvertised show followed a Sunday (8/30) gig at the Alaska State Fair.
