Bob Dylan tacks more dates onto fall outing

Now that his summer tour of minor-league ballparks with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp is complete, Bob Dylan has turned his focus to an October West Coast trek.

The month-long outing gets underway Oct. 5 in Seattle and sticks close to the coast for the majority of dates. Since last check, seven concerts have been added to the itinerary, including an Oct. 21 performance in Denver and a three night-run Oct. 29-31 in Chicago. The full schedule is shown below.

Dylan continues supporting "Together Through Life," his 33rd studio set, which surfaced in April. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer produced the album under the pseudonym "Jack Frost"--the same moniker he used on 2006's "Modern Times" and 2001's "Love and Theft."

"Together Through Life" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, making it Dylan's fifth record to take the top spot.

Next month, the veteran performer will also unveil a new collection of classic holiday songs titled "Christmas In the Heart." All future royalties from the album, which is due in stores Oct. 13, will benefit Feeding America, which provides meals to the hungry over the holiday season.

"It's a tragedy that more than 35 million people in this country alone--12 million of those children--often go to bed hungry and wake up each morning unsure of where their next meal is coming from," Dylan said in a message posted at his website. "I join the good people of Feeding America in the hope that our efforts can bring some food security to people in need during this holiday season."
