Jennifer Hudson [ tickets ] has joined the list of women scheduled to perform at the upcoming "VH1 Divas" concert, which will air live Sept. 17 on the music network, according to a press release.

The Grammy Award-winning singer will share the spotlight with special musical guests Sheryl Crow [ tickets ], Melissa Etheridge [ tickets ], Cyndi Lauper [ tickets ] and Martina McBride [ tickets ]. Rounding out the line-up will be previously announced "Divas" including Adele [ tickets ], Kelly Clarkson [ tickets ], Leona Lewis [ tickets ], Jordin Sparks [ tickets ] and Miley Cyrus [ tickets ].

The live concert event--hosted this year by Paula Abdul--also will feature "Diva" presenters including Kathy Griffin, Toni Braxton, Ryan Kwanten, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and the cast of the MGM Film "Fame."

"VH1 Divas," which premiered in 1998, will this year be held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, NY.

As in previous years, the event will benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, which raises money to help restore instrumental music education in public school. Save The Music also works toward raising awareness about the importance of music as part of a complete education.
