Dan Fogelberg's last songs round out 'Love In Time'
Dan Fogelberg 's final album, "Love In Time," will be available in retail outlets beginning Sept. 22. The album, which the late renowned singer/songwriter recorded in 2006 after being diagnosed with cancer two years earlier, was released digitally on Aug. 13, which would have been his 58th birthday, according to a press release.
Fogelberg, who died in December 2007, began working on "Love In Time" in 2003, while compiling material for a live CD. At that time, he came upon several rough demos that he had made earlier in his career and was inspired to finish them.
After being diagnosed in 2004 with advanced prostate cancer, Fogelberg recorded three new songs, which round out the track-list for "Love In Time."
He put the completed recordings in a safe deposit box with instructions to his wife to release the album after his death.
One of the album cuts, "Sometimes A Song," was released digitally on Valentine's Day 2008 to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
