Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit to include No Doubt, Jimmy Buffett

Neil Young , No Doubt , Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Fleet Foxes , Wolfmother , Sheryl Crow , Gavin Rossdale and the Monsters of Folk are slated to perform during both nights of this year's annual Bridge School Benefit concert.

Set to take place Oct. 24-25 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, engagement will also feature Jimmy Buffett on the first night, and comedian/actor Adam Sandler on the second night.

Tickets for the event go on sale Sunday (9/20) at 10 a.m. PT via LiveNation.com or by phone at (877) 598-6659, according to the Bridge School's website. Tickets are priced at $150 and $75 for reserved seats, and $39.50 for general admission, plus applicable service charges. General-admission four-packs will be available for $99.

A limited number of lower-level reserved seats will also be available via auction at LiveNation.com. More information is posted at the Bridge School website.

The concerts benefit the Bridge School, which serves severely speech-impaired children in the San Francisco Bay Area. Young's wife, Pegi, and Jim Forderer--both parents of children with severe speech and physical impairments--co-founded the school in 1986 along with Dr. Marilyn Buzolich.

The first benefit concert took place that same year and, with the exception of 1987, has been held every year since. In addition to Young, who performs every year, and Crow, who appeared at the 1999 concert, past performers include Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Springsteen, Thom Yorke, Green Day, Phish, Tom Petty and Wilco.

"As a practice, but not a rule, the performers use acoustic instruments" during the benefit shows, according to the Bridge School's website.
