Following a trio of shows with fellow blue-eyed soul singer Boz Scaggs, veteran performer Michael McDonald [ tickets ] will hit the road this winter for a two-week theater run.

McDonald, who has spent part of the summer touring alongside Scaggs, is wrapping up the co-headlining run with a few nights along the East Coast.

Following a nearly two-month break, the former Doobie Brothers (and, for a short time, Steely Dan) member will return to the tour trail for a Dec. 5 show in Snoqualmie, WA, eventually working his way to the East over the course of the 10-city outing. The full schedule is shown below.

More tour dates will be announced soon, according to the musician's website.

McDonald most recently released "Soul Speak," a 14-track collection of cover songs, last March. The set, which followed his 2003 and 2004 Motown tribute albums, peaked at No. 12 on The Billboard 200.

Last fall, the multiple Grammy winner received a star on Nashville's Music City Walk of Fame.

"Some of my favorite songs were written in this town, and some of my favorite records were made in this town, so to be honored as one of Nashville's own is an incredible privilege that will always stand alone for me," McDonald told Nashville's Tennessean newspaper.
