Stevie Wonder lines up dates ahead of Rock Hall concert

Stevie Wonder has lined up a few concert dates ahead of his appearance late next month in New York City to help celebrate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th Anniversary.
The iconic singer/songwriter hits the road with a pair of casino shows--Oct. 22 in Mashantucket, CT, and Oct. 23 in Verona, NY--followed by an Oct. 25 date in Norfolk, VA, before he heads to New York for the Rock Hall shows.

Aside from Wonder, the Oct. 29 and 30 NYC concerts will include performances by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, U2, Paul Simon, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends, and Simon and Garfunkel.
Proceeds from the shows will go toward creating a permanent endowment for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and Museum. The concerts will be curated by an all-star team--featuring Tom Hanks, Jann Wenner, Robbie Robertson and Cameron Crowe, among others--and will include both live and filmed segments to help tell the story of rock and roll, according to a press release.
In July, Wonder performed a pair of songs--"Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer" and "They Won't Go When I Go"--at Michael Jackson's memorial service in Los Angeles.
