Goodie Mob reunites for fall tour

Pioneering Dirty South hip-hop crew Goodie Mob will reunite this fall for a tour featuring all of the group's original members, including Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley.

The outing, which also includes original members Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo, kicks off Oct. 15 in New Orleans, and will roll through 11 cities, including an Oct. 23 appearance at The Cypress Hill Smoke Out in San Bernardino, CA. The trip concludes Nov. 15 in New Haven, CT.

Rapper Scarface will appear as the group's "very special guest" at all dates. Details are included below.

The Atlanta-based Goodie Mob released three albums during the '90s, including 1999's "World Party," before vocalist Cee-Lo (Thomas Callaway) departed to pursue a solo career. The group released one more album before calling quits in 2004. (Goodie Mob members T-Mo and Khujo subsequently dubbed themselves The Lumberjacks and released one album, 2005's "Livin' Life as Lumberjacks."

"The reunion was inevitable," said Cee-Lo in a press statement. "The void in today's music and marketplace ironically has become the very place prepared for us. There's a need and a want for what we do and represent as The Mob.

"Consider the tour a mission ... an order if you will. The last of a living breed, the Goodie Mob marches on."
