Paramore and Carey weren't far behind, with Paramore's "Brand New Eyes" debuting at No. 2 on first-week sales of 175,000 copies, and Carey's "Memoirs" at No. 3 with sales of 168,000 copies. Breaking Benjamin [ tickets ]'s "Dear Agony" moved 134,000 copies during its first week out to land at No. 4, and Alice in Chains [ tickets ]' "Black Gives Way to Blue"--the group's first album in more than a decade, and the first with new singer William DuVall, who takes the place of late AIC frontman Layne Staley--enters the chart at No. 5 with sales of 126,000 copies.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Jay-Z [ tickets ]'s "The Blueprint 3" at No. 6 with 89,000 copies; Madonna [ tickets ]'s "Celebration" best-of set at No. 7 with 72,000 copies; Miranda Lambert [ tickets ]'s "Revolution" at No. 8 with 66,000 copies; Selena Gomez [ tickets ] and the Scene's "Kiss and Tell" at No. 9 with just shy of Lambert's total; and Pearl Jam [ tickets ]'s "Backspacer," which debuted in the top spot last week, down to No. 10 with 58,000 copies.
