Brad Paisley propels 'American Saturday Night' into 2010
Brad Paisley has once again extended his "American Saturday Night" tour, this time pushing the successful country outing into 2010.
The extensive run, which first began in June, continues Oct. 15 in Jacksonville, FL, followed by six dates along the West Coast through the end of the month. Paisley will then take a break over the holiday season before climbing back aboard the tour bus to kick off the 19-date 2010 leg, beginning with a Jan. 7 show in San Antonio, TX, and running through a March 6 performance in North Charleston, SC. Details are below.
Fellow country singers Miranda Lambert and Justin Moore will join Paisley on the 2010 tour segment.
"There's something special about a Saturday," Paisley said in a prepared statement while explaining the tour's name. "That is, you didn't have to work ... you don't have to work the next day ... you're getting over whatever happened at work or whatever happened in your week ... and hopefully you're taking a little break from reality. And any time we fire up this show--whether it's a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday--it's going to be officially Saturday night when we start. And it's not 'not Saturday night' until you leave."
Released in June, "American Saturday Night"--Paisley's his eighth studio set--debuted at the top of Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and No. 2 on The Billboard 200.
The Grammy-winning performer was recently nominated for seven CMA Awards--more than any other performer this year. He's in the running for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "American Saturday Night," Single of the Year and Song of the Year for "Then," Video of the Year for "Start a Band" and Musical Event of the Year for his duet with Keith Urban on "Start a Band."
The 43rd annual CMA Awards show will air Nov. 11 on ABC-TV.
