Smooth-jazz saxophonist Kenny G [ tickets ] will spend the fall and winter months touring North America as he continues supporting last year's "Rhythm & Romance."

The musician, who takes the stage tonight (10/8) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, will work his way down into the US, stopping by clubs, theaters and casinos in 14 cities through year's end. His itinerary also includes a trio of 2010 dates that reach into spring. Details are shown below.

"Rhythm & Romance," Kenny G's ninth studio album, surfaced early last year, and marks the performer's first foray into Latin jazz.

Produced by Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Barbra Streisand), "Rhythm & Romance" features an all-star lineup of Latin musicians including guitarist Ramon Stagnaro, legendary drummer Alex Acuña and percussionists Michito Sanchez, Paulino Da Costa and Ron Powell. It also features guest vocals by rising Chilean star Barbara Muñoz and Spanish-speaking pop/rock sensation Camila. Kenny G said the record is completely different from anything he has done before.

"It's really about two different music styles coming together to create something completely new," the musician explained in a statement posted at his website. "The sound of my music is very distinct and so is the sound of these extraordinary musicians. They bring the rhythm and I'm the romance."

The 2008 release debuted atop Billboard's Top Contemporary Jazz chart and landed at No. 14 on The Billboard 200.

"Rhythm & Romance" has been nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards: Best Instrumental Album and Best Engineered Album. The ceremony will be held Nov. 13 in Houston and air live on the Univision Television Network.
