Cursive maps late-year 'Swollen' outing
Indie rockers Cursive have lined up a late-year headlining outing as they continue to support their latest studio effort, "Mama I'm Swollen."
"Mama I'm Swollen," which surfaced this spring, is the band's sixth studio album. The new set follows the band's 2006 release, "Happy Hollow," which the group's frontman, Tim Kasher, co-produced with Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley). The set was the band's first release without cellist Gretta Cohn, whose work figured heavily on the group's previous album, 2003's "The Ugly Organ."
Free downloads of various mp3s from "Happy Hollow" and earlier Cursive releases are available at the band's website.
Kasher's side project, The Good Life, released its fourth album, "Help Wanted Nights," in 2007.
