Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis play Ray Charles music

Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis are releasing a film this month that documents them performing the music of Ray Charles during a February 2009 concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theatre, according to a press release. The concert film, which features special guest vocalist Norah Jones, also contains behind-the-scenes interviews and interaction among the artists.

The movie, entitled "Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis Play the Music of Ray Charles," was released yesterday (10/15) in select cinemas. Locations, dates and times can be found at DigiScreen.

On Oct. 18, the film will air on HDNet in high definition and on SIRIUS/XM's Real Jazz channel. It will be available in stores Oct. 20 on Blu-Ray and DVD, both of which also can be pre-ordered at Amazon.

Blue Note Records will release a CD of the concert in 2010.
