Lo-Fidelity Allstars mark new release with tour
LONDON--Big beat group the Lo-Fidelity Allstars have announced an 11-date U.K. tour for November. The venture will be launched in conjunction with their next single "Ghostmutt EP," which is out on Nov. 20.
Following the departure of original singer Wrekked Train in 1998, vocals on the upcoming EP are being handled by the group’s bassist and new frontman, A One Man Crowd Called Gentile. Albino Priest, the group’s turntables master, acted as frontman for most of 1999.
The group’s first full-length album, "How to Operate With a Blown Mind," was released in the U.S. in 1999 and peaked at No. 1 in the New Artists Album--East North Central Chart. The rest of the Lo-Fidelity Allstars’ line-up includes keyboardist Sheriff Jon Stone, engineer The Many Tentacles and drummer The Slammer.
