Morrissey in stable condition after collapsing on stage

Morrissey left the hospital yesterday (10/25) after spending the night there as a precautionary measure after collapsing on stage during a Saturday (10/24) night concert in the southern England town of Swindon, according to a Reuters report.

The 50-year-old reportedly slumped to the floor while performing The Smiths' song "This Charming Man." Two band members reportedly carried him offstage where he was treated by an emergency medical team.

A spokesperson for the former Smiths frontman said the singer had been seen by doctors, was much improved and had been discharged to return home, according to Reuters.

A concertgoer told reporters that there was a wait of about 25 minutes after Morrissey collapsed before a member of the crew came on stage and said the singer had left the building and was seriously ill.

"Everybody started booing, thinking 'here we go again,'" Mark Taylor told the Telegraph. "He has a bit of a poor track record for canceling his concerts."
