Them Crooked Vultures head west for theater dates
Before heading off on runs through Europe and Australia next month, Them Crooked Vultures --the new outfit comprised of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin)--will take on a handful of West Coast club shows in support of the group's forthcoming self-titled debut.
The quick four-city jaunt kicks off Nov. 17 in Los Angeles, the same night the trio's long-awaited album hits shelves. The week-long excursion will also include performances in Oakland (11/19), Seattle (11/21) and Portland, OR (11/22). Details are below.
The band self-produced the 13-track rock album, the lead single for which, "New Fang," is currently streaming at the band's website.
Rumors about the group's possible formation began circulating in 2005 after Grohl mentioned a project with Jones and Homme in an interview with Mojo magazine.
Them Crooked Vultures made their concert debut in August at a Chicago club following the final day of Lollapalooza. The group officially kicked off their inaugural run last month with a performance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
