George Winston plots course through next spring

Pianist George Winston has unveiled an ambitious fall and winter tour of the US with an expanse of shows that run well into 2010.
The 35-date outing will take the performer back and forth across the nation, beginning Wednesday (11/4) in Dallas, and will stop by theaters and performing arts centers through an April 22 performance in Berea, KY. The full schedule is shown below.
Winston's most recent album, "Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions - A Hurricane Relief Benefit," surfaced in 2006. Inspired by his love for the Gulf Coast region, the renowned pianist made the record after Hurricane Katrina, and donates 100% of the album's proceeds to organizations helping to rebuild the area.
According to a recent press release, Winston has completed a new album titled "Love Will Come - The Music of Vince Guaraldi Vol. 2," which is set to hit shelves before year's end. The new work will feature "many of Vince [Guaraldi]'s compositions from the Peanuts soundtracks as well as some of his jazz compositions," according to Winston's website.
The forthcoming effort marks the follow-up to 2006's "Linus and Lucy - The Music of Vince Guaraldi."
