Guns N' Roses tap Danko Jones to open Canadian trek
Canadian rock trio Danko Jones , whose fall tour plans got sunk when fellow rockers The Damned ran into visa problems, have signed on to open for Guns N' Roses during an early 2010 run through the Great White North.
The run--which also will feature former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach--gets underway Jan. 13 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and stops are planned in 13 Canadian cities through early February. Details are shown below.
Danko Jones is working the road in support of its most recent album, "Never Too Loud." Originally released abroad last year, the US version of the set--which features several bonus cuts--surfaced in September. The album features the track "Code of the Road," which also turns up on the recently released "Saw IV" soundtrack.
"This Is Danko Jones," a 15-track best-of set, will hit Canadian retailers next April. Detailed information about that collection is posted at the band's website.
Guns N' Roses continue to back their long-awaited album "Chinese Democracy." More than a decade in the making, the set finally surfaced late last year.
