La Roux maps North American winter run
British synth-pop duo La Roux will take on a short stateside trek between two European tours this winter as they continue supporting their recently released self-titled debut.
The pair--Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid--will begin the two-week jaunt Jan. 31 in Boston and head to major markets throughout the eastern portion of North America before concluding Feb. 11 in New York. The full schedule is shown below.
The band's self-titled debut album surfaced in July in the UK and Canada, and hit stores in the US two months later. The self-produced set features 11 tracks, including the duo's debut single, "Quicksand," which emerged on radio airwaves late last year, and the surprise hit "Bulletproof," which topped the UK singles chart in June, and also climbed to the top of Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart in August in the US.
The iTunes version of the album includes a pair of bonus tracks: "Growing Pains" and "Saviour." A handful of cuts from the record are currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.
Earlier this year, the duo landed nominations for the UK's Mercury Prize and two MTV Europe Awards for Best New Act and Best Push Artist.
