Creed unveils a new batch of tour dates
Creed is currently taking a short break from its seldom-relenting 2000 tour schedule, but the band will return to the road for a tour of the Southern U.S. in mid-November.
Finger Eleven is scheduled to open dates through Nov. 22; the opening act for the remaining shows hasn’t been announced. Days of the New will occupy the middle slot on the bill from Nov. 13-19 and Dec. 6-9; Sevendust will occupy that slot from Nov. 21-28.
The new batch of dates includes a rescheduled show: The Oct. 7 concert in Mercedes, Texas, was postponed due to inclement weather; it is now set to take place on Nov. 17.
On Sept. 16, Creed released "With Arms Wide Open," the latest single from its album "Human Clay," as an enhanced CD package. The CD contains three versions of the song, as well as the song’s accompanying video. $3 from each CD sale will go to the With Arms Wide Open Foundation, a charity that was launched last month by Creed frontman Scott Stapp. The band’s label, Wind-Up Records, has limited the single release to 65,000 copies in the U.S.
The mission of the With Arms Wide Open Foundation is "to promote healthy, loving relationships between children and their families." Ticket prices for Creed's tour will include a $1 donation to the foundation.
