Seal readies 'Hits' collection

Seal plans to release a greatest-hits collection that includes two new songs on Dec. 8, according to a press release. The album, simply titled "Hits," will be available as a single CD or packaged with his "Soul Live" DVD, which features nine live performances from his 2008 covers album, "Soul."

In keeping with the "Soul" concept, the two new tracks, produced by David Foster, are both cover tunes: "I Am Your Man," written by Ashford & Simpson and first recorded by Bobby Taylor, and Sly and the Family Stone's "Thank You."

In addition to the "Hits" collection--which features "Crazy" and "Kiss From a Rose" among its tracks--the London-born performer will release an album of new original material some time next year.
