The Swell Season Gallery Spotlight: Seattle, WA - Nov. 22, 2009

Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova of The Swell Season have a lot to be thankful for these days. Not only did they win an Oscar in 2007 for "Falling Slowly"--the single from the movie soundtrack "Once"--they also starred in the film.

Having just released their third studio album, "Strict Joy," last month (10/27), the duo embarked on a North American tour along with a plethora of talent including Marja Tuhkanen, Bertrand Galen and Colm Mac Con Iomaire (strings); Rob Bochnik and Javier Mas (guitar); John Carney and Joseph Doyle (bass guitar); Thomas Bartlett (keyboard); Graham Hopkins and Chad Taylor (drums); and Steven Bernstein and Clark Gayton (horns).

The Swell Season performs tonight (11/25) in Vancouver, British Columbia. Friday (11/27) they arrive in Boise, ID, and Saturday (11/28) Salt Lake City, UT will host the tour. LiveDaily photographer Kirk Stauffer caught up with the group on Sunday (11/22) at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, and here are the results.
