ABC cuts more Adam Lambert appearances

Adam Lambert has announced that ABC has axed his scheduled appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "New Year's Rockin' Eve." It is the third such ABC cancellation since Lambert's questionable Nov. 22 performance on the American Music Awards.
"Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," the "American Idol" runner-up said via his Twitter account. "Don't blame them. It's the FCC heat," he added.

The network reportedly received 1,500 complaints the day after the glamboyant performer's over-enthusiastic AMA performance, which many have called "raunchy," "controversial" and "shocking." (Janet Jackson's costume malfunction at the "Super Bowl" reportedly generated 500,000 phone calls.)
At that time, ABC pulled the plug on Lambert's "Good Morning America" appearance because of the singer's unpredictability to perform in a manner appropriate for a morning time-slot.
Despite the ABC cancellations, other networks continued to embrace the rocker, whose debut album, "For Your Entertainment," came in at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart last week.
Lambert will perform on "The Jay Leno Show" Dec. 21 and in his Tweets said he was "lookin into something" for New Year's Eve.
