Air spreads 'Love' on spring outing

French electronic act Air has lined up a North American headlining trek for next March in support of the pair's most recent studio set, "Love 2."
The duo--Nicolas Godin and JB Dunckel--will kick off the outing March 13 in Miami, FL, and plan to tackle 13 cities on the road trip, which extends through a March 28 appearance in Los Angeles' Walt Disney Concert Hall. Details are included below.

British drummer/percussionist Alex Thomas (Bat For Lashes, Badly Drawn Boy) will join Godin and Dunckel on the spring dates. Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist AM will join the tour as special guest. Tickets for most of the dates go on sale Dec. 12; consult Air's official website for complete ticketing details.
"Love 2," the Air's sixth studio album, surfaced in October on the Virgin label. The set, which follows 2007's "Pocket Symphony," was the inaugural production at the band's new Paris recording studio, Atlas.
The album was preceded in July by "Do the Joy," a "viral single" that was made available as a free download to Air's newsletter subscribers. A more traditional single, "Sing Sang Sung," emerged in August.
