The Audition maps early 2010 headlining trek

Punk-pop rockers The Audition have lined up an early 2010 headlining tour as they put the finishing touches on another new studio album.
The Chicago group, which kicks off the year with a string of support dates for Every Avenue, launches the headlining trek Jan. 20 in New York. Details for the 29-city outing, which runs through a Feb. 19 date in St. Louis, are included to the right.

On the road, the band continues to support "Self-Titled Album," the group's third studio release, which surfaced this spring. The set, produced by Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182), peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
The band also continues to work on a follow-up album for release in 2010, which would represent The Audition's third studio effort in a little over two years, dating back to 2008's "Champion." The group debuted with 2005's "Controversy Loves Company."
