Chumbawamba follow film debut with tour

LONDON--Anarcho-rocker outfit Chumbawamba is scheduled to play a U.K. mini-tour in November following the premiere of "Well Done, Now Sod Off!" a documentary about the band.

The eight-date outing, which takes the same title as the film, will call at clubs beginning in Cambridge, England, on Nov. 16 and wrap up in Oxford, England, on Dec. 9.

Screened for the first time at the Leeds Film Festival in October, "Well Done, Now Sod Off!" features live footage and focuses on what made the band members working-class heroes.

Formed in a squat in Leeds in 1984, Chumbawamba is renowned for its anti-establishment attitude. Its first album from 1986, brought out during the Live Aid era, was entitled "Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records: Starvation, Charity and Rock 'N' Roll--Lies and Tradition."

The band has since calmed down, signing to EMI in 1997 and releasing its biggest-selling album, "Tubthumper," that year. Its last release was 1999's "WYSIWIG (What You See Is What You Get)."
