Bob Dylan, Natalie Cole among White House performers
Bob Dylan , Natalie Cole, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson will be among the artists performing Feb. 11 in the White House East Room.
The event, "In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement," will be hosted by President and Mrs. Obama in honor of Black History Month.
PBS will air the concert nationwide beginning at 8 p.m. ET, according to a statement posted at the network's website.
John Legend, John Mellencamp, Seal, the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Howard University Choir also are scheduled to perform.
Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah will serve as emcees.
Additional artists may be announced in the coming days, according to PBS.
"In Performance at the White House" has been produced since 1978 by WETA, the flagship public broadcasting station in the nation's capital, and spans every administration since President Carter's. Past programs have featured Merle Haggard, Aretha Franklin and Vladimir Horowitz.
