Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban tapped for CMA fest

Brad Paisley [ tickets ], Carrie Underwood [ tickets ], Reba McEntire [ tickets ], Keith Urban, the Zac Brown Band [ tickets ] and Rascal Flatts [ tickets ] are among the first batch of performers to be announced as part of this summer's CMA Music Festival [ tickets ].

The four-day fan-appreciation event--slated for June 10-13 in Nashville--has also confirmed sets from reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year Lady Antebellum, as well as Jason Aldean and Darius.

The announced performers will headline nightly concerts at LP Field in downtown Nashville. Single-day tickets and four-day festival packages are currently on sale via Ticketmaster, priced from $27.50 to $185 (plus service charges), respectively. The annual event, originally dubbed Fan Fair, is entering its 39th year. Each June, artists take time out of their touring schedules to perform, meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos as a way of giving back to the community that has supported them throughout the year.

In addition to nightly concerts and daily autograph sessions, festivities include non-stop music during the day, shopping and lifestyle exhibits, CMA Celebrity Close Up sessions, competitions in the Chevy Sports Zone and after-hours activities in the clubs and bars around downtown Nashville.

Half the net proceeds from the festival are donated to the "Keep the Music Playing" charity campaign, which supports music education in metro Nashville's public school system. To date, the CMA has donated more than $3 million to the cause, according to a press release.
