Buddah Records is re-releasing Lou Reed 's 1975 double album "Metal Machine Music," described in "Encyclopedia of Rock Stars" as "four sides of white noise, whines, whistles, feedback and screams..." It was roundly damned when it first came out, but a couple of things we've read recently suggest that it's due for a critical re-evaluation.
