Stone Temple Pilots, Creed top Sturgis bill

Stone Temple Pilots, Creed, Godsmack and Three Doors Down highlight the roster of acts leading the first-ever Rock N' Rev Festival in Sturgis, SD, this summer.
The five-day outdoor fest, which will take place Aug. 9-13 at Sturgis' Glencoe CampResort, will also feature Wolfmother, Hinder, Eagles of Death Metal and around 15 additional acts, as the inaugural event hitches its wagon to the annual Sturgis Motorcyle Rally, which attracts upwards of a half million celebrants to the rural town and is generally regarded as the world's largest biker rally.

"I've always seen the need for something large scale at Sturgis," said Daniel Catullo, co-founder of festival organizer DC3 Global, in a press release. "We're looking forward in coming years to see that incredible amphitheater fill to capacity every night. The grounds at Glencoe CampResort are an ideal and idyllic setting to host a multi-day music festival."
Tickets for the event go on sale Friday (4/30) at noon EST, with single-day passes going for $45 a pop, and five-day general admission tickets set at $150 apiece. Information on VIP and camping packages can be found at the event's official website.
Circus showman Jim Rose will preside as Master of Ceremonies for the festival, with his Jim Rose Circus providing entertainment between sets.
"This makes Lollapalooza look like Littlepalooza," Rose said in a statement. "This makes Ozzfest seem like Blahfest. Screw Bonnaroo, Rock N' Rev is epic! And I plan on bringing thrills, chills and doctor bills, many of it never seen before."
