Megadeth To Headline Pediatric Aids Benefit

Megadeth will headline a benefit concert Sept. 1 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, a day after the scheduled release of the band's new album, "Risk." Sharing the bill with the hard-driving metal band will be Type O Negative, DDT, and Puya.

All proceeds from the show will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation for the fight against pediatric AIDS.

The show will also serve as a 15th anniversary celebration for Concrete Marketing, a promotions firm that has worked with a long list of hard bands, including Metallica, KISS and Ozzy Osbourne. The festivities will include a retrospective slide show and video montage featuring highlights from Concrete Marketing's history. A star-studded Black Sabbath jam is also in the works, according to event organizers.

Capitol Records will host a 14-hour online preview of ''Risk'' at the Capitol Broadcasts site on August 20th.

Megadeth embarks on a month-long European tour with Iron Maiden on Sept. 8.
