Fugitive ODB makes surprise appearance at Wu-Tang Clan show

Rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who has been on the run from the law since escaping a court-ordered stay at a drug treatment facility in mid-October, shocked fans by performing three songs at a concert by his group Wu-Tang Clan on Tuesday night (11/22), according to published reports.

ODB, whose real name is Russell Jones, reportedly took the stage at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom during Wu-Tang Clan's record release party for the new album "The W." "I can't stay on the stage too long tonight," ODB reportedly told the crowd. "The cops is after me."

The rapper had not been seen in public since he fled from a court-ordered stay at the Impact House drug treatment facility in Pasadena, Calif., on Oct. 17. A California judge has since issued a warrant for his arrest.

The rapper is also wanted on drug-related charges in Queens and Brooklyn, N.Y.
