U.K. Weekend Ticketing: Offspring, Sneaker Pimps, UFO

This week sees more cancellations than onsales as various bands must cancel shows due to illness and touring costs being too high. The Offspring , the Sneaker Pimps and Hobotalk, however, have announced new shows.

The Offspring will now play Wembley Arena on Jan. 20 as well as Jan. 21. Tickets went on sale on Tuesday (11/28) for 15.00.

Dance group the Sneaker Pimps have announced a show at the London Astoria 2 on Dec. 13.

* * *

Up-and-coming rock band Hobotalk, which has opened for Gomez, Grandaddy and Magnetic Fields, will play at Dingwalls in London on Dec. 11.

Rock group UFO has had to cancel the last two dates on its U.K. tour due to singer Phil Moggs viral laryngitis. The dates--Dec. 1 and Dec. 3 shows at the London Astoria--cannot be rescheduled, and refunds are available.

Deltron 3030 was forced to cancel its Wednesday (11/29) show at London's Dingwalls at the last minute due to MC Del Tha Funkee Homosapiens exhaustion.

California metal band Snake River Conspiracy has had to cancel its opening slot on My Ruins upcoming U.K. tour due to drummer Neil Taylor spraining his wrist. The band was supposed to join My Ruin's tour at Portsmouths Wedgewood Rooms on Wednesday (11/29).

Due to the cost of tour being too high, heavy metal band Overkill has been forced to cancel its support dates with Rob Halford on Dec. 3rd at JB's in Dudley, Dec. 4th at Nottingham's Rock City and Dec. 6th at London's LA2.
