Marilyn Manson canceled its Tuesday night show in Omaha, Neb., due to a blizzard in the Midwest. The band was stranded in Peoria, Ill., following its performance, according to the group's official website.
Last Tuesday (12/5), the band canceled its Toledo performance due to drummer Ginger Fish’s recently fractured collarbone. The tour is scheduled to resume in Wichita, Kan., on Wednesday night (12/13), according to Manson’s website.
Metallica has filed a lawsuit against French perfume maker Guerlain and the Neiman-Marcus and Bergdorf-Goodman department stores for selling a perfume named “Metallica,” MTV reported. Last year, the group sued Victoria's Secret for marketing a "Metallica" lip liner and Pierre Cardin for its "Metallica" tuxedo.
The group’s most notable litigation remains its current copyright-infringement lawsuit against Napster.
Capitol Records will release a new Radiohead album titled "Amnesiac" in the spring, the BBC reported. The release will feature tracks that were recorded during the "Kid A" sessions as well as some fresher material.
Dr. Dre said that a planned N.W.A. reunion album has been shelved indefinitely, MTV reported. The reunion was to feature original N.W.A. members Dre and M.C. Ren, along with Snoop Dogg, who replaces original member Eazy E. The latter member died in 1995 of AIDS-related complications.
Mob Deep rapper Prodigy was robbed at gunpoint of about $343,000-worth of jewelry--most of it rented--during a break from a video shoot in New York City on Friday (12/8), the New York Daily News reported.
Motorhead canceled its European tour due to lead singer Lemmy’s "extreme exhaustion.” The three British dates that have been axed are: London Forum (12/19), Wolverhamtpon Civic Hall (12/20) and Manchester's Apollo Theatre (12/21).
