SR-71 kicks off January tour of U.S.

emailSR-71 launched a U.S. club tour on Tuesday night (1/9) in North Carolina that will run through the end of January, according to the group’s publicist. The 17-date headlining jaunt will be followed by a Japanese tour.
“Now You See Inside” (RCA), SR-71’s June debut, was certified gold in November by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping over 500,000 copies. The album is currently No. 197 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
“Politically Correct,” the second single from the album, is currently No. 22 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart.
American Hi-Fi, Collapsis, Left Front Tire, Nine Days and Sister Hazel are scheduled to open for SR-71 at various dates throughout January, according to SR-71’s official website.
SR-71 has been offered the opening slot on Bon Jovi’s upcoming tour, according to an RCA spokesperson. That outing will kick off on April 18 and will last six to eight weeks, the spokesperson said.
