'N Sync To Follow Spring Dates With Extensive Summer Tour
'N Sync will follow up their marathon fall-winter-spring tour schedule with a two-month summer package, christened the "Boys of Summer" tour and set to launch July 5th in Virginia Beach. The summer outing, currently routed to play nearly 40 shows, will put the chart-toppers together with former New Kid on the Block Jordan Knight and, for most dates, fellow young male act Five.
The tour to support 'N Sync's debut album began in mid-November and will now run through at least late August. The RCA Records act is currently in the middle of a six-week mid-tour break before starting again on March 3rd in Jacksonville, FL. The spring stretch of dates will last through May 16th, providing another multi-week break before embarking on the summer run.
According to MTV, Five will join the summer tour with the July 14th show and stay on board through the August 21st show due to scheduling confilcts.
Five (alternately referred to as 5 and 5ive) will be the subject of a Disney Channel concert special featuring B'witched on March 26th, according to their record label, Arista. Slam Dunk, the follow up to their hit When The Lights Go Out, is scheduled to ship to radio on February 22nd. Knight has just released his first solo single, Give It To You, and is expected to release a full album prior to the start of the summer tour.
