Manic Street Preachers announce spring mini-tour

LONDON--Britpop giants the Manic Street Preachers have announced a six-date U.K. tour to take place in late March and early April. Tickets for the six nights in Manchester, Glasgow and London will go on sale on Wednesday (1/16).

The dates will promote the group's forthcoming sixth album, "Know Your Enemy" (Epic), which will be released on March 26. The LP will be preceded by the release of two EPs on March 5: "So Why So Sad" and "Found That Soul." The Preachers most recent release is the single "The Masses Against The Classes," released in January 2000.

Prior to their spring mini-tour, the Preachers will play at the Karl Marx Theatre in Havana, Cuba, on Feb. 17. Bassist Nicky Wire told NME that he wanted to play in Cuba because "Cuba for me is the last symbol that really fights against the Americanisation of the world."
