Barenaked Ladies add 19 dates to itinerary
Barenaked Ladies have fortified the forthcoming leg of their North American tour with 19 new U.S. dates that begin in early February and bookend the group’s previously announced run though its native Canada.
The group’s tour in support of last year’s “Maroon” (Reprise) officially resumes on Feb. 7 in Atlantic City, and will be preceded by a Feb. 6 performance at a concert hosted by a local radio station in Syracuse, N.Y., according to the group's management.
In addition to tacking the new dates to its route, the group has also moved the opening night of its Canadian tour in Hamilton, Ontario, up one day from Feb. 21 to Feb. 20.
The group is currently on hiatus, in the wake of an extensive North American tour that kicked off in September and wrapped up with a New Year’s Eve performance in Boston.
“Maroon” was released last September and debuted at No. 5 on the album chart. “Pinch Me,” the album’s first single, was recently nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Pop Performance By a Duo or Group With Vocal.
A remix of “Pinch Me” and new live versions of the group’s songs “Jane,” “What a Good Boy” and “Never Do Anything,” are currently being offered for free through a special promotion with MP3.com, according to Barenaked Ladies’ official website.
