Pulp, Orbital to top Homelands 2001 lineup

LONDON--Pulp and Orbital will headline this years Homelands dance festival at the Bowl at Matterley Estate near Winchester, England, on May 26 and 27. The first big music festival of the year incorporates 11 arenas and has the capacity for 50,000 attendees. Tickets went on sale on Friday (1/19).

The Orb, Artful Dodger Paul Van Dyk and Pete Tong will play in the main Home arena. The second-largest arena, the End--which is hosted by the London club of the same name--will feature DJs Mr C, Carl Cox and Layo and Bushwacka.

Meanwhile, the lineup for the Slinkys arena--which is hosted by the Bournemouth club--includes Judge Jules, Sonique, Scott Bond and John Kelly. DJs Roni Size, Krust and Fabio have also been confirmed to perform.

Headliners at Homelands 2000, which sold out, included Ian Brown, Leftfield and Public Enemy.

Homelands--now known formally as Ericsson@homelands dance festival--was started in 1999 by the Mean Fiddler Organisation, one of the U.K.s largest concert promoters, which also put on the annual Reading & Leeds Festival.
