Alice Cooper brings shock rock to Europe in April
LONDON--Heavy metal veteran Alice Cooper has announced a major tour of Australia and Europe for April and May. The stadium venture will kick off at the Entertainment Centre in Newcastle, Australia, on April 13 and finish at the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland, on May 21.
The prototypical shock-rocker, who is known for the hits "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Poison," released his latest album, "Brutal Planet," last June.
Born Vincent Damon Furnier, legend has it that Cooper chose his stage name after a Ouija board session during which he learned that he was once a 17th century witch.
