Weekend Ticketing: Joel & John, AC/DC, U2, O-town, Destiny’s Child
Though things are settling down on the U2 front, a large batch of ticket on-sales for the second leg of the Billy Joel -Elton John Face to Face tour will keep ticket-sellers busy in the coming days. Meanwhile, tickets to AC/DC’s spring tour are scheduled to go on sale in select markets.
Elton John and Billy Joel are currently focusing on West Coast tour dates, but the duo will head east for the jaunt’s second leg. Tickets for seven shows are scheduled to go on sale on Saturday morning (2/3).
At 9 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets go on sale for the tour’s Charlotte, N.C., show. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for shows in Syracuse, N.Y., Greensboro, S.C., and Louisville, Ky., hit the market. And at 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets for shows in Kansas City, New Orleans and Nashville will go on sale.
Tickets to four AC/DC shows--Tampa, Miami and Orlando, Fla., and Columbus, Ohio--will go on sale on Saturday (2/3) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
Just three new on-sales are planned for U2 ’s Elevation tour this week. On Friday (2/2) at 10 a.m., tickets go on sale for a second show at National Car Rental Center near Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. On Saturday (2/3) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets go on sale for the tour’s stop. in Hartford, Conn., and for the tour’s fourth Boston show.
O-town, stars of the TV series “Making the Band,” will embark on their first major tour this spring. Tickets for many shows go on sale in the coming days.
On Friday at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets are scheduled to go on sale for shows in New York City and Philadelphia. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for the tour’s Atlanta stop go on the market. At 3 p.m. Eastern Time, on-sales are planned for the tour’s Birmingham, Ala., show.
At 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, tickets for the band’s Pittsburgh show go on sale, and at 5 p.m. Central Time, on-sales begin for the band’s St. Louis concert.
Another block of O-Town shows go on sale on Saturday (2/3). Chicago, Detroit, and Milwaukee ticket on-sales are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Central Time. At 10 a.m. Eastern time, on-sales begin for the Philadelphia show.
Tickets for the band’s stop in Los Angeles go on sale at noon Pacific Time on Saturday, and a 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time on-sale is planned for the Westbury, N.Y., show. At 5 p.m. Central Time, tickets for O-town’s New Orleans show will go on sale.
Several Destiny’s Child appearances are coming up in the Midwest. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time for shows in Quad Cities, Ill. (3/27), Columbia, Mo. (3/22), Peoria, Ill. (3/21), and Manhattan, Kan. (3/31). Tickets for a Sioux City, Iowa, show (3/30) go on sale at 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
