Dave Matthews Band will reveal the first leg of dates for its spring-summer 2001 tour on Friday (2/9), according to the group's publicist. Among the upcoming appearances will be a May 5 show at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival.
Black Sabbath will headline this year's Ozzfest, according to Wall of Sound. Also in the reported lineup is Marilyn Manson, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Disturbed.
Jesse Arreola, drummer for the Tejano band Los Palominos, was killed on Sunday (2/4) when the band's bus crashed in Texas.
Mute Records will release a 4-CD tribute to the British record store Rough Trade on March 5, Sonicnet reported. Bands on the CD include the Smiths, the Pixies, Stereolab and Mazzy Star.
"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" is having "Rock Star" editions of the game show on Feb. 11 and Feb. 14.
