Phish Members Hit The Road With Solo Projects

Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and drummer Jon Fishman will embark on separate tours devoted to outside projects in April and May. Anastasio will play a series of acoustic / electric shows at larger clubs and theatres, while Fishman's Pork Tornado project will focus on smaller clubs.

Anastasio will be joined on his tour by bassist Tony Markellis and drummer Russ Lawton. Fishman's Pork Tornado project will include Fishman on drums, Dan Archer on guitar, Phil Abair on keyboards, Aaron Hershey on bass and Joe Moore on sax and vocals.

Phish is currently on a break until June 30th, when the band will begin a 20-date US tour followed by a three-day booking at Japan's Mt. Fuji Rock Festival. The band finished off a busy 1998 touring season with a four-night run that culminated in a three-set New Year's Eve show at New York's Madison Square Garden.

At the time, the Vermont-based jam-band was planning to announce a 1999 New Year's Eve show set to take place in Oahu, HI, but pulled out of those plans in January, citing concerns that mainland fans would have problems securing travel arrangements for the show.

Here are the current tour arrangements for Trey Anastasio and Pork Tornado:
